Hello, looks like I'm going to be the one to take the brunt of the shitstom (as usual) and make the announcement that we are going to have to shut the server down. We started the project with four admins, then three, now two, and no money or resources to manage. We spent all donations on server bills, we had a pretty good box, and with it, it is expensive. And had to pay out of pocket to maintain it.
The server has set our series behind, caused me more stress than anyone on the team, and it just not worth the trouble to run. I know some of you really loved the server, but we just can't do it.
The series will continue on until it is complete.
I actually wasn't supposed to be making the announcement, but a certain someone disappeared for a few days when I ask him to make the announcement, convenient.
Hello everyone, we are in need of some extra voices for episode 5! I can't reveal too much, because I don't want to give too much away. We have provided an audio recording that we would like you to try to sync your voice up with.
RECORDING REQUIREMENTS:
1.) No mic popping, blowing, or distortion!
2.) Minimal background noise. If it is giving you an issue, you will need to turn of fans in house, move away from computer. If still having issues, try setting the mic on a table, encasing it in three pillows |_| with a pillow on top and then recording. Or try a blanket over your head as well.
3.) Send in 320kbps MP3 format, and it needs to be mono.
4.) Send your voices to me via PM. We need the ASAP! Thanks.
so I looked into it, turns out EVERY LINUX BOX IN THE WORLD was having cpu issues because of something called "leap second" where the terminal every linux box connects to, their clock was off by a second, and needed to fix it. This cause major issues for a lot of people, reddit was down, pirate bay was down, all kinds of linux based machines.
In english, I mean: This was a global issue with many linux based machines, us being one of them. I believe I've fixed it, and the server should be running fine right now.
As for the "Failed to Verify Username" error, that is a bug with minecraft's authentication servers, and is only a temporary thing. You should be able to get in soon. If you still get the error try restarting your minecraft and reconnecting, it'll work eventually.
edit:
If you receive a bit long error that has "503" near the beginning, it's the same thing as failed to verify username, it's mojang trying to fix their authentication servers. It'll pass.
After a long wait, no thanks to main server issues and some rectally pained griefers, Episode 4 is up and ready to watch!
Last time, we took a look at Borin's back story. So here, we delve into Richa-- er, Rick's past! Hope you all like it!
Before you ask, the texture pack for Rick's flashback is Glimmar's Steampunk. My current fave. The world is robots and diamond tools are awesome. Check it out if that's your thing!
